Rewind Recap

Because I went on my blogging hiatus, I have missed recaping!  I know it is almost Christmas (yay!), but I am going to rewind recap my Thansgiving.  Derek and I went to South Dakota to visit my family.  It has been almost 2 years since I have been there (minus the blip in June when I flew in for a couple of days for my grandpa's funeral).  AND a LONG time since Derek has been there.

We had a super good time EXCEPT on the night before we were supposed to fly back, Derek, my dad, and myself ended up with food poisoning.  We were flying out at 6:20 AM....needless to say we were still experiencing the effects of the bad food when gettting up at 4:30 in morning to start getting ready.  YUCK.  We had to request to sit in the very back so we were right next to the bathrooms.  AND since it was South Dakota, the planes were so super tiny.  Super tiny plane + very back of plane = a lot of turbulence & not what you want when feeling sick.

Anyway, I got to see my nieces and nephew which is always super exciting.  Somehow being around them also brings up the conversation of Derek and I having kids.....scary!

This is one of my beautiful little nieces, Baby K!  She absolutely loved Derek....that's a good sign!

So the only picture I did not get was my other niece (somehow!) who is almost the same age as Baby K.  You will just have to take my word on it, she is adorably cute too!
