The first night we got there, we shut down 2 bars! By the time I knew it, it was after 2:30!! Instead of catching a cab back to the hotel, we just walked the beach the whole way back. It was glorious to walk in the sand and feel the ocean!!
This is me trying to look as pregnant as possible. People were still shocked to learn that I was pregnant after I told them…But, I have to say, my stomach grew a ton in Florida!! By the time we left, I could tell a huge difference in my bump. I think it is growing daily now :) Cannot wait to provide an update for you guys.
Anyway, this was the night of the rehearsal dinner. The bride and groom had an after party at this ah-mazing beach house with a DJ. It was such a cool set-up. However, we were outside all night long and I got ate up with bugs. I seriously have over 40 bug bites all over my body. UGH, I’m awful at not scratching them!
The ceremony was at an old hotel on the beach….so gorgeous!

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this or not, but we are not sharing our name with anybody until our little girl is born. SO, our friends made it a huge deal to try and guess the name the whole time we were there. For example, when Mike would introduce Derek and I, he would add “oh and they are expecting little baby X (and here he would literally fill in a different girls name every time) in November. He probably mentioned over 25 names while we were there without ever repeating the same name….not ever saying the correct one!
The reception was held at the bride’s brother-in-law’s restaurant. It had beautiful views of the ocean.
So glad we could be there and a part of the wedding.

Jacksonville Beach is gorgeous and being a FL gal myself, I know all too well about those bugs. UGH! They will eat you alive. I wish someone would have told you about Avon's Skin So Soft-- it keeps the bugs away and doesn't have deet (bad for preggos) or any bad smell in it. Anyway, you look great and I would have done the same thing as the Groom-- except come up with crazy, silly names!!
