12 Month Photos
We had the wonderful Jax take Charlotte's 12 month photos. We met her at the Cincinnati Nature Center on a beautiful fall day. Unfortunately, after we got there, Derek realized he forgot to put an essential bag in the car and had to run home and get it. Thus, there are a lot of photos of just Charlie and I! And by the time he got back, Charlie was a little done with pictures. But Jax is wonderful and still managed to capture some great family photos.

These turned out so cute! Helps that you have such a photogenic family, though this age is a little hard isn't it? For our Christmas card I could not find a photo where all three of us were looking at the camera and Hendrik didn't have his hand in his mouth or something... so we went with a photo of him for the card instead :)
Anyway, what a great location for your shoot, and I love that you did the smash cake as part of it - makes for such a cute collage!

I'm happy you love the photos! It's so hard at that age to capture a great photo of them looking at the camera!! Those cake smash pictures were some of my favorite though! Her reaction was priceless! :)

You definitely got some great family pictures. Looks like you had a great weather too. I love the color coordination combination. You will definitely cherish these for years to come.
You guys have the right attitude, you look so relaxed that we would never know there were any problems beforehand. My reasoning when it comes to family pictures is always that you only really need 1 maybe 3 good one anyway. Anything above that is a bonus.
