Weekend Recap

Hope all of you had a great weekend!  Mine was well...a bit stressful.  Well the weekend really wasn't stressful but I'm filled with stress right now.  With the week-of-painting and moving looming right around the corner, I am busy with packing everything up in our apartment.

I feel like I made good process with the packing.  But we just received noticed that our furniture is still not in.  You know, the furniture we ordered in MARCH.  Ya, still not here.  So after the walk through tomorrow (yay!) we are going to possibly pick out different furniture.  I will not be waiting another 3 months for our stuff!

Anyway!  Even though we are leaving our apartment soon, we have recently acquired a new friend, a great blue heron.  Seriously, I think they look straight-up prehistoric!  Whenever I see one out of the corner of my eye, I always do a double-take because they freak me a out a bit!  The rock they seem to stand on is literally right out our patio so we always try to catch them on camera.

Here is one when it is sunny:

Flying away...

In the dark...

And in the rain...

And just because I haven't pictured this little cutie for a while, I had to post a picture of Brutus.

Tonight, Derek and I ran over to Homearama.  I wanted to see how the interior decorators did the lighting.  I must say every house had a mixture of brushed nickel and oil-rubbed bronze throughout the house...so that helped us out a bit!  One house had a basketball court inside...because it is so necessary =)  Hope you have a good Monday!

I can't believe you haven't gotten your furniture yet, that just seems beyond ridiculous to me.

And I'd have to say that seeing the mixture of nickel and bronze in the flesh would be a lot easier to picture than trying to do it with just the one. I'm sure yours will look amazing! :)

The heron is so pretty! We have four peacocks that keep showing up on our back porch - and have no idea whose they are! Good luck with packing and moving :)
