Mexican, Cupcakes, and Bloggers Oh My!

Happy Monday everybody.  I’m a little late posting this, but I wanted to do a recap of the fabulous Cincinnati blogger dinner I attended last week.  There were 12 ladies and the night involved Mexican Food, Cupcakes, Chatting, and of course, Pictures!  It is so amazing how many local bloggers there are.  I’m so glad we got a chance to all meet up!

A special thanks to Erin for taking the pictures and Allison for initiating and arranging the meet up.  OH, AND Allison scored the cupcakes for free from Gigi's Cupcakes.  Honestly, I was so blown away by these beauties that I stopped there on Friday after work to get some for the weekend!


They are seriously soooooo yummy.  I couldn’t wait for Derek to give them a try!

Weekend Recap!

Happy Monday everybody…anybody else excited because of the short week?  Please tell me you all have a short week!  I’m very excited to celebrate the 4th this year and also very excited because July is my birthday month ;)

This weekend was fantastic!

See that bump???  Well, it’s not huge, or completely noticeable yet, or ever present all day every day….but, I’ve noticed a difference in the last week!  Especially in the evenings, I have some sort of evidence there is a baby growing in my stomach.

So, I’m not sure if you saw on Instagram or not, but Saturday was pretty exciting!  Sarah and I traveled to Columbus for a little shopping.  And for lunch, we met up with the adorably sweet Katie and her husband at Cooper’s Hawk.

It was so great to finally meet this pretty lady.  And she is exactly how you would think!  So much fun and super easy to talk to.  Heck, if I wasn’t pregnant, I would demand that we go out on the town right then and there, because you can just tell she is a good time :)
AND, Cooper’s Hawk was delicious.  So excited that Cincinnati is getting one of these!


Of course since we were in Columbus, Sarah and I had to grab some Jeni’s ice cream.  YUM! We also made a pit stop at the outlets on the way home.  Super great girls day.

Soooo here’s hoping this weekend doesn’t drag on and bring on those fireworks!

Weekend Recap!

I’m starting my weekend recap with Thursday, because I had a wonderful dinner with some Cincinnati bloggers!  It was an official blate.  Some of these ladies I’ve met and a couple, I was meeting for the first time.  It’s always so exciting to get together with these ladies.  They are so sweet and it was so much fun to relax, have some dinner, and talk about blogging stuff!

We ate at Aroma….and the weather was actually nice that day (pllllleeeeeaaasssseee come back sun, thanks!)

Friday night, Derek and I headed over to a restaurant that is moving downtown.  We wanted to eat at their current location before they moved.  It did not disappoint at all!  We were going to head down to the new casino afterwards, but was too full to do anything!




Saturday was a fun day of St. Patrick’s day festivities.  I forgot to take pictures…..I know!!


Sunday was spent making my first ever VLOG (curling wand tutorial coming up)….eeeeekkk!  Stay tuned for it tomorrow and hopefully I don’t look like a huge idiot!

Girls’ Night!

This past weekend, we had a girls’ night!  I met up with some friends and also some new ladies…some of which included bloggers!  I had a blast going out with these girls.  We had dinner at Keystone and then headed downtown for a night of fun!

Weekend Recap!

I had my first ever BLATE!  That’s right, I met up with Sarah from Total Basset Case!  Actually, it was kinda-of a blind double date =)  Sarah and I brought along our husbands. We had a terrific night at Flipdaddy’s enjoying burgers & beer and getting to know each other!

Derek and I also saw a movie this weekend:

 

We went and saw Safe House because I was seriously so.excited.for.it!  Honestly, it was action packed but very one dimensional went it came to the plot.  Definitely a good rentable movie but not as great as it looked!

On an exciting note- my blogfriend,Whitney, got engaged this weekend!!!  SO super excited for her and her soon-to-be hubby!


Lastly, I caught the Grammy’s last night and I was kinda disappointed with the fashion this year.  My favorites:
